After the incredible success of our first series of Harold's Planet prints, we're delighted to bring you the second series; a selection of poignant, charming, fun, and just loveable images that are all pure Harold's Planet. We fell in love with the stunning, quirky and compelling images from Harold's Planet many years ago When we were given a simple Greeting Card. Now "Harold" is a global phenomenon and we are delighted (and honoured) to offer you numbered Fine Art Limited Editions that will make the perfect gift for you, or for that someone special in your life. They look fantastic on the wall and we promise, you will fall in love with the colours and humour. Lisa Swerling & Ralph Lazar began collaborating on Harold's Planet in 1996, initially as collection of illustrated short-stories for an adult audience. In the first stories, their bobbly-nosed, soft-footed eponymous hero explored the Open Plain, ever-curious, ever-patient and with an eye for spotting flying grannies. He's more or less been doing the same thing ever since. In 1998, after a proposal for an animated TV series adapted from their short-stories, won the International Project Competition at the Annecy Animation Festival in France, Swerling & Lazar isolated themselves on a small island in the Indian Ocean (Ille au Cerf - part of the Seychelles) where they further developed the world of Harold & friends. Since then, their work has mushroomed into a significant global cartoon property. Art You Grew Up With, under License from Last Lemon Productions Ltd. has published this image using the fine art printing process of colour reproduction known as Giclee. Using the original artwork at the studio archive, a first generation digital capture was made and then recreated using millions of pixel-sized drops of ink per second onto premium quality, acid-free Photo Rag paper with an enhanced printer, specifically modified for Fine Art reproduction. This edition was produced in the year 2008. Each image is numbered to 500 and features the publisher's Embossing of Authenticity. |
