Created from the original negative archived at the studio we are delighted to add to our collection of Art You Grew Up With, with some wonderful limited editions featuring Bagpuss and friends. The colours are amazing and the editions look fantastic on the wall. Each edition is signed by Peter Firmin, numbered, and features the publisher’s Embossing of Authenticity.

Bagpuss made his television debut on the BBC in 1974. The programme ran for 26 weeks of the year for 13 consecutive years! Bagpuss is regularly voted one of the highest ranking TV animated characters of all time.

Peter Firmin and Oliver Postgate are responsible for some our childhood favourites, such as Ivor The Engine, Clangers, and Bagpuss. Sadly, Postgate has recently passed away.

Bagpuss is a well loved 1974 UK children’s television series created by Peter Firmin and Oliver Postgate, with their company Smallfilms. The series was produced using stop-frame animation with an actual cloth cat. Amongst it’s recognitions, Bagpuss was awarded the first place spot in a BBC poll selecting the nation’s favourite children’s show in 1999.
