Wizard of Oz

Alex Ross has lent his indomitable skills to recreating one of cinema's most revered characters, The Wicked Witch of The West . Ross, known mostly for his stunning intrepations of Marvel and DC characters has been an industry and fan favourite as an artist who captures the essence of his subjects.

Glen Orbik is a well known comic artist too, who has portrayed Superman on many comic covers. His work can also be seen in advertising and book covers. But his rendition of the Cowardly Lion being pampered and preened by Oz beauticians. This for me, is a new favourite. I love vintage  Pin-Up girl artwork and Orbik has got the right style and colour palette that emulates that era. Perfect!
