We are thrilled to be able to commemorate the 50th Birthday of The Cat in the Hat with a very personal Geisel drawing entitled "Ted's Cat".

The original was kept in Ted's studio for untold years. We consider it no less than Ted's alter ego keeping an eye on the master while he creates.

Ted Geisel's first wife Helen had a profound love of cats, and at one stage Ted found himself the 'father' of no less than 23 of them!

Naturally they found their way into his artwork. When asked why he often drew cats, he joked "Because I can't draw Dogs!"

This edition was originally limited to 850 worldwide, and has since Sold Out from the publisher.

However, as hosts of the National Touring Exhibition, we have access to just ONE of the Collaborator Proofs to make available just for this exhibition.

Once it's sold, it's sold! Delivery of this artwork will occur once the Exhibition finishes at it's current location.
